Our Story

Hi, we're David and Lauren.

We're high school sweethearts raising four beautiful (and delightfully rambunctious) kids: Lincoln, Harrison, Jude, and Scarlett. They are our whole world — and honestly, the reason we first picked up a camera. We wanted to document the wild, chaotic, beautiful life we were living, but quickly realized that a great photo or film does more than freeze a moment — it creates a way back to it.

Laughlin Photography officially launched in 2024, built at the intersection of an analytical, data-driven mind and a creative heart. That balance shapes everything we create. While the creative side is drawn to raw emotion, meaningful connection, and golden-hour light, the analytical side is obsessed with the technical craft behind the camera.

Whether calculating light for a sunset ceremony, capturing cinematic aerial perspectives with a drone, or shaping a film through rhythm and pacing in the editing room, that technical precision allows the heart of the story to shine through.
